I need help with my housing
Support to keep your home – before things reach a crisis point.

We're here to help
Housing support means working with someone who’s on your side. Whether you’re falling behind on rent, dealing with a difficult landlord, or stuck in hospital — we can help you sort things out and find stability.
We work with people across Sussex to resolve housing problems before they become a crisis. You don’t have to wait until things are desperate to ask for help.
Choose the situation below that best describes you. If you’re still not sure, just get in touch — we’ll point you in the right direction.

Each situation has a different service. Choose yours and we’ll show you what’s available.
Pathways Home
Help to keep your home
Pathways Home helps you stay in your home. We provide short-term, practical support to resolve problems before they become a crisis. Whether it’s debt, disputes, or paperwork — our goal is simple: to help you keep your tenancy.
Adur & Worthing, Crawley and Horsham
What we offer
- Preventing homelessness – help to stop you losing your home
- Resettlement – support for new tenants to get settled
- Befriending – in some areas, we also offer befriending and mentoring
In other parts of West Sussex, similar services are provided by partner organisations.
How to access
Referrals come from local council housing teams in Adur & Worthing, Crawley, and Horsham.
If you’re worried about losing your home, contact your local council’s housing team as soon as possible — the earlier you ask for help, the more we can do.
Discharge to Assess
From hospital to home
We help you move safely from hospital back into the community. If you’re ready to leave a mental health ward but your housing isn’t sorted, we can help. We provide a 6-week support package — and temporary accommodation if you need it — so you don’t stay on the ward longer than necessary.

Assertive Outreach
Help for people sleeping rough
We believe no one should have to sleep on the streets. Our outreach team works across East Sussex — Eastbourne, Lewes, Wealden, Hastings, and Rother. We go out early in the morning and late at night to find people sleeping rough and offer a way into housing.
East Sussex

- Emergency housing – we help people into emergency accommodation as a first step
- Long-term solutions – we support people to move into a settled home
How to access
