Client story

“I have more time to do stuff for myself”

A client from our Learning Disability Support services tells us about her life at home.

Since I’ve been here, I’ve got more time to do what I want to do and what I want to get done.

I do diamond painting. We use beads and a pen to make a diamond painting. It usually takes eight weeks or more to make one. It controls my anxieties and it gives me something to do when I’m not online.

It’s alright in the communal area. I do stuff with people down here sometimes. When it’s too hectic, I like to go to my own room.

I can have a bath when I want one. I have more time to do stuff for myself. I feel less stressed.
