How we're regulated
Southdown is an exempt charity and a registered society under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014. Because of the range of services we provide, we are registered with and regulated by several organisations.
Regulator of Social Housing
RSH - Registered: L1829Regulates social housing providers in England. We are committed to the National Housing Federation's code of governance.
Care Quality Commission
CQCRegulates health and adult social care services. Our registered care services are inspected against essential standards of quality and safety.

Quality and governance
Our Board has overall responsibility for good governance and ensuring we meet all regulatory and legal requirements. Our Risk, Audit and Performance Committee regularly reviews quality across all our activities.
Quality and performance analysts
We have dedicated Quality and Performance analysts who oversee data collection and analysis across all services. This helps us understand what works, why it works, and how we can keep improving.

Our Board committee meets regularly to review risk, scrutinise our performance data, and hold our leadership team to account for delivering high quality services.
BILD ACT certified training
Our Positive Behaviour Support training and Restrictive Physical Interventions training is certified by the British Institute of Learning Disability as meeting Restraint Reduction Network standards.
