Wellbeing Centre & groups

Recovery isn’t just about treatment – it’s about belonging. Our wellbeing centres and groups offer welcoming spaces where you can connect with others, try new things, and feel part of a community.

Connection and community

We offer different types of one-to-one support depending on what you need. Some services you can access yourself – just get in touch directly. Others need a referral from a GP, mental health team, or another health professional.

Not sure which applies to you? Read on and we’ll help you find the right route.

Wellbeing centres

Drop-in spaces where you can meet people, join activities, or just have a cup of tea and a chat. No appointment needed.

Adur & Worthing, Crawley and Horsham

What to expect

Our wellbeing centres are welcoming community spaces open to anyone who would benefit from a supportive, social environment. You can drop in without an appointment – just turn up.

  • Meet people and build connections in your community
  • Join activities, workshops, and groups
  • Online peer groups also available – helpful if getting out is difficult
  • A relaxed, non-clinical environment

Find your nearest centre

We have centres in Brighton, Eastbourne, and Hastings. Opening times vary by location.

  • Preston Park, Brighton
  • Eastbourne
  • Hastings
I also regularly take part in an online peer group run by the Wellbeing Centre. It means I can connect with others for a friendly chat, which is so important for people who might find it hard to get out due to mobility, anxiety, or other challenges.

Peer support

Support from people who’ve been there. Our peer support workers use their own lived experience to help you – building trust, reducing stigma, and showing that recovery is possible.

East Sussex

What peer support offers

Our peer support workers connect with you as someone who truly understands what you’re going through. By sharing their own experience of mental health challenges, they help you find hope, build confidence, and take the next steps in your recovery.

  • Support from someone with lived experience of mental health
  • Build trust in a non-judgmental relationship
  • Reduce isolation and stigma
  • Find hope that recovery is possible

How to access

Peer support is open access – you don’t need a referral. Get in touch to find out more about what’s available in your area.
