Learning disability support

Care and support to help you live the life you choose - with independence, dignity, and a sense of belonging.

Supporting people with learning disabilities across Sussex

We support over 160 people with learning disabilities across Sussex to live the lives they choose – with dignity, independence, and a sense of belonging.

Our registered care homes and supported living services provide care that is relationship-based and person-centred. We focus on what matters to each individual: their goals, their interests, their strengths. Our support is built around this.

We also work to help people connect with their communities, reduce loneliness, and find opportunities for meaningful activity and purpose. All our registered services meet Care Quality Commission standards.

I like my home. I feel comfortable here. Being here is freedom. I can go out when I like, come back when I like. I've got a lot more independence.

How to get support

Getting support is easier than you might think. There are a few steps, and we’re here to help at every one. If you’re not sure where to start, just get in touch — we’re happy to talk it through.

1

Get an assessment

Contact your local authority (council) to request an Adult Social Care Assessment. This looks at your needs and what support would help most.

2

Funding is agreed

If you're assessed as eligible, your local authority or the NHS will work out how your support is funded. We can help you understand this process.

3

We find the right fit

Your social worker or care coordinator refers you to us. We'll sit down together, talk through your needs, and find the service that's right for you.

We currently have vacancies

We have spaces available in both registered care homes and supported living services across Sussex.

Not sure which option is right? Both are shaped entirely around you – your strengths, your choices, and what a good life looks like for you. We’re happy to talk it through.
