We have made it simpler to get wellbeing support when you need it.
As part of UOK East Sussex, the countywide network of mental health and wellbeing support we lead, our six Wellbeing Centres – in Bexhill, Eastbourne, Hailsham, Hastings, Newhaven, and Uckfield – are open for drop-in sessions.
That means you can come along during opening times and talk to one of our friendly team members. Whether you’d like to find out more about our groups and activities, ask a question, or just have a chat about how you’re feeling, you can simply drop in – no referral or appointment needed .
We know that reaching out for support can sometimes feel difficult.
Through our recent service redesign, people told us they wanted easier, more direct ways to get the support they need.
“A clear theme that kept emerging was ease of access into services,” explains Stuart Reid, UOK East Sussex Partnership Lead. “Open Access is an important step in making sure people can get help as soon as they need it.”
Alisha Hiremutt, Service Manager for East Sussex Wellbeing Centres and Peer Services, adds:
“The Open Access model means more people can reach us without waiting lists or complex forms. We’re here to make that first step easier and ensure information about local support is open to everyone.”
This change is part of our ongoing commitment to make support accessible, inclusive, and rooted in local communities. By opening our doors for drop-in sessions, we’re helping people connect with wellbeing support early – in welcoming spaces that feel part of their community.
During our Open Access sessions, our team can:
You’re welcome to come in for a chat, find out what’s available, and take things at your own pace.
