Message of thanks to our Director of Client Services

On behalf of everybody at Southdown, Neil Blanchard, our Chief Executive, shares a message of thanks to Sharon Clare, our Director of Client Services, who is moving on from Southdown this week.

“After 23 years, Sharon Clare, our Director of Client Services, will sadly be moving on from Southdown on the 21st June.

Sharon leaves us to take forward new opportunities and passions, and I am sure you will join with me in wishing her enormous success and personal fulfillment for the future.

With her expansive specialist knowledge and experience, initially as a registered learning disability nurse, Sharon has played a pivotal role in helping grow and shape Southdown over the past two decades, enabling us to provide quality, safe and individually tailored care and support services to clients. Although all her contributions have been significant and lasting, we are particularly grateful and proud of the way that she superbly led our learning disability division through the Covid-19 pandemic, during which her decisions and professional co-ordination protected all our clients and staff.

On a personal note, Sharon, and I both joined Southdown within a month of each other in 2001. I have had the privilege to have worked alongside Sharon as we both had the opportunity to develop our careers as Southdown also continually grew and developed. I consider Sharon to be an ultimate professional, who always has the interests of clients at the heart of her work. I have learnt so much from her and she leaves a legacy based on strong values and culture, which we will continue to take forward.”
